Funding Inner West Sydney

Inner West Sydney Small Grants have now closed

Funding is now available by application through the Sydney District Small Grants Scheme. Agencies who have been successful under the Inner West Small Grants Scheme need to follow the reporting process outlined below.


Step 1- Application

Make an Application for an Inner West Small Grant.


Login to create an application. 

Step 2 - Notification of successful grant

Successful Applicants have 12 months to complete their events and report back.

In order to complete the End of Project report you will need the forms below.

Step 3 - Parents feedback forms

Please ask parents to complete The Resourcing Parents Essential Questions at the end of EVERY event funded through the Small Grants Scheme.

Step 5 - Complete End of Project Report 

Use the feedback collected from parents in Step 3 to complete your report.

Essential:

  • Addresses parenting education for parents of children 0-8 years;
  • Service to be provided within Inner West Area, using Families First geographic boundary;
  • Demonstrate responsiveness to community needs outlined on the Application Form;
  • Agencies applying for funding will need to outline their contribution of resources to the project;
  • Committment to providing an end of project report using the tools provided see below.
  • All projects will need to include answers to the RP Essential Reporting Questions in their their End of Project. See above Download forms for Inner West Applications: RP Essential Questions to download forms.
  • All sucessful GROUP projects will be required to use the Parent Concerns Questionnaire Brief Form Pre-group questionarrie and Post group questionnaire both can be found above Download forms for Inner West Applications: Parent Concerns Questionnaire - Brief Version to download forms.

Please note: If you have received the free Triple P training from Families NSW, this grant cannot be used to pay for salaries or materials, but may be used for other costs such as childcare,venue hire etc.

Helpful Hints for Applicants:

  • Funding can be utilised for: Childcare Workers, Program Resource Materials (eg workbooks and tip sheets);
  • Administration costs please make sure they are less than 10% of the cost and that the Agency's contribution is highlighted;
  • Salaries for Out of Business Hours facilitators;
  • Salaries for Daytime external facilitators only.

Desirable:

  • Initiatives that provide assistance to families who need extra support (Families First Field of Activity 3);
  • Initiatives that improve the connection between families and the community (Families First Field of Activity 4);
  • Initiatives that demonstrate use of strengths based practice;
  • Initiatives that demonstrate collaboration and partnerships with other agencies;

As well as funding parenting initiatives, the Resourcing Parents Inner West Small Grant Scheme has established a number of ongoing projects:

  • The Resourcing Families Website
  • The Parenting Practitioners Network (The PPN ) including the Inner West Triple P Interagency

This initiative provides parenting practitioners opportunities to

  • reflect on their practice work,
  • support and further develop the groupwork skills and strategies that are already working well for them, and
  • explore and experiment with new skills and strategies aimed at making a difference future groups.
