Circle of Security for Fathers and male carers or children with disability or developmental delay

The starting date for this event has passed. Some events are ongoing, check the dates and information below to see if you can still attend.
Circle of Security is an evidence-based course which supports and strengthens parent-child relationships.

While Circle of Security is not a disability-specific program, these sessions are for families of children with disability or developmental delay.

This program will provide families with an opportunity to use the Circle of Security approach to your child's specific needs. Research shows that children who experience a secure relationship with at least one parent have better health, relationship and educational outcomes into their future.

Learn about:
- your child’s emotional world by learning to read their emotional needs;
- how to support your child to successfully manage their emotions;
- developing your child’s self-esteem;
- how to honour our innate wisdom and desire for your child to be secure.'

It is recommended that families be available to attend all 8 sessions.

Places are strictly limited, and interest in this group is high, so book now to secure your spot.
The training is being delivered by one of our parent facilitators, a father with a child of additional needs, Melo Kalemkeridis.
