Workshop Overview
Responsive Settling is a nationally recognised, contemporary approach to promote infant and early childhood sleep. This settling approach is underpinned by attachment theory, systems theory and social learning theory, taking into account the unique circumstances of each child and family. This two hour session has been designed for professionals working with young children and their families who are experiencing sleep difficulties.
Participant Learning Outcomes:
 Gain an understanding of the contributing factors for sleep difficulties
 Gain an understanding of the underpinning theory of responsive settling
 Identify sleep promoting behaviours and attitudes for children and parents
 What to do when the sleep strategies are not working for parents
