Circle of Security
~ Aims to explore Circle of Security as a way of understanding children’s relationship needs.
~ The program provides us with a map that draws a very clear link between the emotional availability of the adult and the child’s social and emotional learning.
~ Children constantly travel around the circle
~ Take a moment to reflect how do you express your feelings and needs when you are upset, frustrated worried or angry. What do you need in these times?
~ You are the hands from which children move away from to explore and to which they will return when the word gets too big.
~Relationships are the most powerful context for learning . Positive supportive relationships with adults provide children with a safe and reliable practice ground for learning social skills , that they can then use to make connections and learn from each other.
The Circle of security is offered to parents to do One On One .The program is run in Partnership with Many Rivers Family Violence Prevention Unit and Durri Medical Centre.
