As One Carer Connections

Facilitated by Newcastle Family Support and Place of Friends, ‘As One’ is a safe space to connect with others and support each other when caring for a child unable to live with their birth parents.

“Sharing what works”

The ‘As One’ group determine topics to be discussed, share experiences, solutions, strategies and networks.

Inspired by participant experiences, topics may include -
-Negotiating the OOHC System
-Managing behavior
-Sharing wisdom
-Getting through the tough times
-Understanding the effect of trauma

Guest presenters may also be invited to share information about particular topics when requested by the group.
